Panama Fishing February 7, 2019

Another report from Hooked on Panama Lodge.

It has been a crazy 10 days or so, so this is going to be a composite report.

We had Rick and Rebecca Weisenburger and their friends Roger and Rosie. The four R’s:)  Been with us several times.  Also had Bob and Lisa Baxter with friends Bill and Cindy Swisher, newbies. Now this is where it gets confusing. Ed senior, Ed and Eddy plus Ed’s wife Stephanie. The three Ed’s Wrzesniewski and I hoped I spelled that right.  That got confusing during dinner:)

Also newbies. Plus, John Zoetjes, his son John and their friend Bob. More newbies. At least it was really easy remembering names this trip:) Plus Jeff and Kara Hayden and friends who live here in Panama and have come down several times.

The dorado bite has continued to slow but still getting some nice size fish. The Marlin bite has picked up. Released a few and broke off several more.  The one caught by Ed Sr. was probably around 700lbs. and kept them out well after dark.

Quite a few nice Roosters, handful of nice Sail Fish and one day got into a serious Tuna bite and brought in 33, all in the 30lb. upwards of 80lb. range. Got new guys here right now, so will have another report soon.

Until next time, Tight Lines.
