MARLIN FEVER 3.27.17
Can’t say why but the last four days here has been Marlin Mania. We had Jeff Wortman back with us again for 4 days from Florida with his fishing partner Dana Lynn Glassier from Denver ( her first time sportfishing ).
Also Had Curt Slonim here solo also from Florida for two days only to check the Black Marlin off his list.
Fishing had been so so prior to their arrival but the week started with a bang and never stopped! All together they raised 27 Billfish and released 8. Jeff released several and a 450lb. Black Marlin. Dana’s first 2 salt water fish ever caught were both Blue Marlin !! She thinks we catch them all the time. Jeff also released a 50 lb. Rooster.
Curt being here only for a Black did release 2 Blues and one Sailfish and dodged many Sailfish and Blues not wanting to reel them in. On his second day he released his first Black Marlin 250-300 lbs. CHECK!!
A couple of dozen small Yellowfin Tuna were also caught for our Sushi and Ahi Poke for appetizers.
We have Jack & Kurt Devaney here now for two and a half days fishing and another good report coming soon.
