OUR FLEET


Our fishing fleet consists of 4 - 27' ft Latitude 27' Shallow Sports. The Latitude 27' is a tri-hull in-shore and off-shore boat that is smooth, stable and dry. Each boat is fully equipped with a GPS, Fish Finder, Stereo, & VHF radio. The boats are extremely stable which in most cases will greatly reduce the feeling of nausea while trolling and/or bottom fishing.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS


What should I bring on the boat?
  • Bring sunglasses, a hat, long-sleeve breathable fishing shirt that you can roll up, sunscreen, motion sickness medicine (if needed), boat shoes or sandals, camera, film, light rain jacket or wind breaker. There are also stores nearby where you can purchase anything you might need. Be sure to not forget any medication you may need since we will be offshore most of the day.
What kind of fish can you catch?
  • Fish commonly caught in the area: Pacific Sailfish, Blue Marlin, Black Marlin, Dorado, Yellow-fin Tuna, Wahoo, & Grouper, Roosterfish, Horse-eye Jack, Pacific Black Snook, Tarpon, Corbin, Cubera Snapper, Blue Trevally, Jack Crevalle, African Pompano, Sierra Mackerel, Mullet Snapper plus many others.
How much money should I bring on the boat?
  • You should not need any money on the boat but you may want to have some spending cash for when you get back into town.
How does my group get to the boat in the morning?
  • We will provide all transportation to and from the lodge and boats.
What is the weather and sea conditions usually like?
  • The sea conditions near Puerto Armuellas are very calm most days. A light chop will usually develop in the late afternoon and it normally will shower at night. Very rarely are there large swells and sea sickness is rarely an issue. You will need to bring motion sickness medicine if you normally get motion sickness in the car or while flying.
Do I need to bring any equipment?
  • You are welcome to bring your own equipment but keep in mind that the airlines usually charge extra fees for oversize baggage. We should have everything you will need to catch the big ones.
How much do I tip?
  • Captains, deckhands, and lodge personnel work for tips and although gratuity is not required, it is greatly appreciated. Typical gratuity for captain and deck hand is around $50 per day.
