Fishing Report for June 6th

This week at Hooked on Panama Lodge we had Mark and Peggy Rose with us, fishing with their friends, James and Joanne Harden.

This was their second trip to the lodge and the marlin-madness continued. They fished again with Captain Chaka and mate Matagato “Carlos”. Even though it was mostly a marlin bite this week, they did manage to get a mixed bag of other stuff too. Check out the pics below or click here to see past reports and pics.

These guys are a pleasure to have with us at the lodge, more like family than guests. As always, the food and company was excellent. Looking forward to seeing them again next year 🙂 Also, check out the marlin tile work that Joanne has been working on…pretty cool stuff!

Well, we had kind of a crazy week here at Hooked on Panama. Three boats fishing, overlapping groups, bite was good, then completely stopped for a day then right back up again.

The late season bite continues. Had a group of guys here from Shimano. They were doing a little bit of testing with new equipment and such. Needless to say, their stuff got a work out.

The fishing continues to be great. Last week we had Greg Lien, who bought the trip at the Minnesota chapter of Safari Club and brought his friends, John, Brian and Jereme. They were fishing with Captain Carlos and his mate Eloy. It’s still a Dorado fest. Got 30 plus and once again nice size fish.

Here we go again at HOOKED ON PANAMA. We had Jack Bispham and Libby Carlene here for two days on a working vacation. Jack looking to take Rooster Fish off his bucket list. We took care of that the first morning with three nice Roosters.
