Fishing Report for January 17th

Hello Everyone,

Got another report for you from Hooked on Panama Lodge.  Week of January 11th, 2015.

We had Gene and Karen Myers, fishing with their friends, Jim and Elizabeth Benham. We originally met these guys at the SCI show last winter. They were out for 4 days fishing with Captain Victor and his mate, Jacinto. Fishing is still good:)

The dorado and sailfish bite is not what it was like, last season, at this time.  Still have some green water off the point.  But, the marlin bite is more than making up for it.  These guys got 4 black marlin and a blue.  Gene said that was his first marlin, and the crew estimated it at 500lbs. plus.  Raised many more. They did manage a couple of sails and 3 really nice dorados.  I am sure when the blue water moves in, the sail and dorado bite will take off.

Elizabeth got some great air shots of marlin.  Check the photos below. I really like the one of Gene’s charging the boat with mouth wide open. That is Gene stretched out in the hammock:)

Got more reports to come.
