Willy and Carolyn from Cameron Louisiana fished with Captain Chaka and Mate Mata. They released 4 sailfish, 1 marlin, landed 5 dorado; 1 was estimated at 65lbs. and another at 45lbs. They also raised 15 more sailfish, 3 marlin and lost 1 marlin. Willy and Carolyn have been fishing and hunting all over the world and each night they shared some of their amazing stories with us. We all looking forward to their next trip to Hooked on Panama Lodge!
We have Dan and Judy Hunsaker here with us right now from Tucson Arizona. They are doing a 6 day fishing experience. The first 2 days were a bit slow. Only one rooster per day. I kept telling Dan, not to worry, they are out there. After that, the bite turned on again. Big yellow fin tuna and large dorado to boot.
Got another report from last week. Sorry it has taken a bit of time, but have been waiting on photos. I miss the days of people using cameras instead of phones for all their photos. 🙂 🙂 Everyone here last week was pretty much repeats with only a handful of newbies mixed in.
Another week down here at Hooked on Panama Lodge. Bernie Patashnik brought down a group of 10 guys for four days of fishing. It was a decent week. Only 2 Sails this week. Raised a ton, but was difficult getting them to bite. Lots of bait in the water.
More Texans here at the lodge J Chic, Tina, Jimmy, Katherine, Larry and Jean friends of Rex and Connie fished for 3 day during their week here with us. While they here we got to celebrate Chic’s 70th birthday!
It has been a crazy 10 days or so, so this is going to be a composite report. We had Rick and Rebecca Weisenburger and their friends Roger and Rosie. The four R’s:) Been with us several times. Also had Bob and Lisa Baxter with friends Bill and Cindy Swisher, newbies.
We had Mark and his father Bill, Wally all from Florida along with their friend Ralph from New York fishing with Captain Oliver and Mate Carlito.
