Fishing Report for February 22th
Hi Everyone,
Got another report from Hooked on Panama Lodge.
Last week we had Kurt and Mary Anne Rathjen along with Kurt’s brother Eric. They were fishing with Captain Chaka and mate Carlito. Fishing was good. The Sail Fish bite has ramped up a bit and the tuna are showing up early.
They got 12 Sails with shots at more than twice that number. 12 yellow fin tunas. Not the big guys yet, but lots of action. Plus 2 really nice Cubera Snappers.

Kurt and Mary Anne had such a good time they are planning a quick return this April. Looking for the bigger tuna run.
We also had John and Lani Estill for a quick two day fishing trip. Even fishing a short day on day two, they still got 5 nice Sails with shots at many more. John got a great photo of his thumb with Lani’s Sail:)
As usual, the seared tuna appetizer was the hit of the meals. Everyone loves this stuff so much, we had it several nights in a row.
