Fishing Report December 27, 2018

First off, sorry for the delay on this one.

We have been crazy busy during
the holidays and I finally got a chance to sit down and do this 🙂

We had Dick and Meera Rosser here fishing with Captain Victor and our
new mate, Lucho.  They were on a hit and run mission, just two days out with us.

Sail fish, Dorados, lost a couple of sails and had a couple of Marlin up, but no takers.

Fishing has been great this year.  Every time I think I have it figured out, it’s different.
Historically, the sails are here in fairly large numbers right now.

We are getting sail fish action, but I think they are a little late.
Instead of 10 to 15 shots at sails a day, just 4 or 5.
That’s per boat.

Normally we have lot’s of Dorado this time of year, but, at the beginning
there are tons, but smaller. 15 to 20lb. range.  They get bigger as the season
progresses until they have moved north and it is pretty much over by mid
March.  This year, WOW!!! Really big Dorados and lots of them.

Next report is going to be crazy:) Give me a couple of days and I’ll send a new one out.
The biggest part of the group just left today, but still have a couple out fishing today

Below, Meera sent me a couple of great wildlife shots, also.  Dolphins and Pilot Whales.

Until next time, tight lines.
